Policy-Level Data Methodology

Policy-level data captures insurance policy attributes that define coverage structure, capacity, duration, and pricing. All policy-level fields governed by RDRS are documentation-backed and traceable to primary source records retained within the platform.

Data Capture

Policy-level data is captured through standardized, rules-based data collection workflows. Where policy-level fields are missing, incomplete, or fail qualitative or statistical validation checks, values are reviewed and validated against the original source documentation from which they were derived.

Policy Attributes for Pricing Comparables

Pricing comparables rely on policy-level attributes that materially influence market pricing and comparability across placements. These attributes ensure that comparisons are performed across policies with comparable duration, structure, coverage, and capacity.

Key policy-level attributes used in pricing comparables include:

  • Premium
  • Policy term, including effective and expiration dates and total term length
  • Carrier and carrier rating at the time of policy placement
  • Limits, including occurrence, aggregate, or product-specific limits, as applicable
  • Perils covered by the policy
  • Policy structure (e.g., Standalone, Scheduled, or True Blanket), including the number of locations covered

Policy-level attributes are evaluated in conjunction with asset-level attributes to support consistent, like-for-like pricing comparisons across assets, policies, and markets.
